The Best Soft, Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies You Will Ever Eat

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies are the perfect treat for any occasion. They’re easy to make and can be customized with your favorite add ins. These cookies are so good that they’ll have you craving more!

What is Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft chocolate chip cookies are made with brown sugar and butter. They’re soft and chewy, and they have just enough chocolate chips to make them extra delicious. They are easy to make—all you need is a bowl, some ingredients, an electric mixer (or food processor) and patience! The recipe below makes about 2 dozen cookies.

These smooth chocolate chip cookies are the greatest you’ll ever try thanks to a few of my secrets. This chocolate chip cookie recipe has received hundreds of rave reviews from bakers all around the world, and I have no doubt you will feel the same way. The cookie dough must be chilled, and cornstarch makes the cookies extremely soft and thick.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all, purpose flour (sifted)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until well combined. Add the flour, baking soda and salt, and mix until well combined.

In a medium bowl or food processor (my preference), combine flour/salt/pepper or whatever else you want to add into your dough at this point; don’t forget this step because otherwise it will be hard to get out later! You can also add some nuts if you want something different here too,  I personally like chocolate chips mixed into mine but feel free to try something new!

Cooking Notes

  • Bake at 350 degrees for 12, 15 minutes.
  • Use a cookie scoop to measure out the dough and form into balls.
  • Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving, or store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Pro Tip

Pro Tip: cookies are best when they are still warm.

  • This is true for all foods, but especially cookies. Your tongue will feel better and more comfortable if you eat them right out of the oven or shortly after roasting in the over until they’re just a little bit soft to your liking.
  • Cookies are also best when they’re not too soft or gooey, either! You don’t want to see any pockets of liquid in there—that’s just gross! So make sure that your cookies have some structure (that is, not mushy) so that they’ll stay together while baking.

Add, ins and Variations

  • Chocolate chips: While you can use any type of chocolate for this recipe, we recommend using semi, sweet or milk chocolate.
  • Raisins: If you’re looking for a sweet kick, raisins are a great option. Just be sure to remove them before baking because they’ll add some moisture and cause the cookies to spread more than usual.
  • Walnuts: Another option is walnuts—they will give the cookies more texture and bite compared with other nuts like peanuts or almonds (which might make them harder).
  • Coconut flakes: If you want something lighter on your palate but still with crunchy texture, coconut flakes would do just fine! And don’t forget that they’re also naturally sweet so they won’t need any additional sugar added during cooking time either!

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies is best to serve with

  • Ice cream
  • Milk
  • Tea
  • Coffee/tea, infused wine (hot chocolate)

These cookies are so good!

You will love these soft and chewy cookies! They’re so easy to make, they’re delicious, and they are perfect for any occasion. These cookies are made with a simple butter recipe that yields chewy cookies that melt in your mouth. The chocolate chips give them a delightful crunchy texture that is sure to please any palate.

Methods for Freezing Cookie Dough

It’s quite simple to freeze chocolate chip cookie dough.

  • Roll the cookie dough into balls when it has cold in the refrigerator. The cookie dough balls should be chilled in the fridge for an hour.
  • Put the solid, cold cookie dough balls into a large or small, labeled, zipped, top bag, depending on the quantity of dough you have.
  • Place the bag in the freezer after marking it with the month and the baking temperature.
  • For up to three months, freeze cookie dough. The temperature is indicated for obvious reasons, and the date will assist you know when the cookie dough is fresh. Actually, you can write anything that is beneficial to you.
  • The time, date, temperature, name of the recipe, etc.
  • Take the cookies out of the freezer and prepare to bake them. In accordance with the directions in the recipe, preheat the oven.
  • Due to the frozen state of the dough, bake the cookies for an additional minute or two.
