How to use date cookies in a variety of recipes

Date cookies have become more and more popular as people have been trying to create new, healthy and tasty ways to bake and cook. Date cookies have a very distinct and rich flavor and are perfect for a wide variety of recipes. Date cookies are great for breakfast in oatmeal or atop a bowl of fruit and nut cereal, a snack in a lunch box or as a sweet treat after dinner. Date cookies can be used in a variety of recipes because they are so versatile.

I love date cookies, but when the holidays are over, I find myself with a lot of leftover date cookies. I’ve found a few ways to use up the excess cookies and I’m sharing them with you today. Some ways to use up leftover date cookies are to add them to your favorite cookie dough or to grind them up and use them in your favorite cookie recipe.Date cookies can be eaten raw, or cooked in recipes like oatmeal and muffins.

Date cookie with a twist

I love cooking and baking, but sometimes I like to change things up a bit. Date cookies are a classic, but I’ve found the perfect twist. While the original recipe calls for dates, I’m swapping them out for dried apricots. I find that the apricots add a subtle sweet flavor to the cookie, and they are also lower in calories. I’m also using coconut flour to cut out some of the flour, and adding pumpkin pie spice to give it a little extra flavor.

Date cookies are a classic go-to for holiday baking, but this twist on the traditional recipe will make these cookies your new favorite! The addition of pecans and cranberries make these cookies crunchy, sweet, and tart, and they are perfect for the season of giving.
