One of my all-time favorite pasta recipes to make is spaghetti, especially when I want to make a quick yet attractive supper. The fact that you can add various fresh veggies is one of my favorite things about this dinner. It is also a spicy dish that can be prepared in just a few minutes. It’s easy to do and tastes great! Cajun Shrimp Pasta is an easy-to-make pasta dish that features shrimp, sausage, mushrooms and cheese all tossed together with tomatoes and seasonings. The result is one of the best pasta dishes you’ll ever eat!
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tsp garlic powder (or more, to taste)
- 1 tsp paprika (or more, to taste) * 1 tsp onion powder (or more, to taste) * Dried oregano and thyme are optional but highly recommended.
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese + extra for garnish (optional)
To top the pasta, you can use any type of cheese you like. Salty cheese would also be good. You could even just sprinkle a little more salt on top for extra flavor!
Methods
This supper dish is really quick and simple, making it ideal for a hectic evening. The entire dish can almost be prepared in the same amount of time as it takes to cook the pasta because there is no measuring and no chopping involved. That means you can finish your supper in 10 to 15 minutes.
The pasta is boiled in salted water to begin this dish. Because salt will flavor the pasta, it’s crucial to add a full tablespoon of salt in the pasta water. Make careful to save some of the pasta water before draining it so you can use it to thicken the sauce if necessary.
Sauté the prawns while the pasta is cooking. They’ll cook fast at a somewhat high temperature. The sauce will be prepared in the same pan once the shrimp have been taken out and left aside.
Simply combining heavy cream that has been brought to a boil with parmesan cheese that melts into a creamy smooth sauce is the cajun cream sauce. The shrimp and the pan both include an adequate amount of cajun seasoning, which gives the sauce a rich taste. Within minutes, the sauce thickens, and you only need stir everything together to serve.
You also can make your own amazing shrimp dish with these simple ingredients.
- Cajun seasoning (you can make your own)
- 1 lb. of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 bunch of scallions, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil (optional)
What to serve in Cajun Shrimp Pasta
This pasta dish goes particularly well with vegetables of any sort since the recipe is so thick and rich. This dish pairs well with either a side of steamed broccoli or spinach or a healthy green salad. The vegetable side dish you select should be straightforward and light to help balance out the flavor of the Cajun Shrimp Pasta.
