Hawaiian Mix Plate Series Pt.1 – Vegan Mac Salad



Aloha! This is the 1st in a series we’re doing on the famous Hawaiian Mix Plate. We’re starting off with a delicious Mac Salad that will be sure to please meat eaters & non meat eaters alike! This easy recipe is very flexible and gives you space to make it your own by adding a little or taking away a little.

Stay tuned for some mouth watering teriyaki soy curls and a vegan “chicken” katsu that you’ll love!

Ingredients:

Prepared elbow pasta or ditalini (small round pasta) drain and quickly rinse under cold water to stop cooking process. Be sure not to rinse all the starch off the noodles. We need that starch to help the Mayo stick.

Shredded carrots

Small diced celery

Shredded onion

Vegan Mayo – we like Follow Your Heart Vegenaise

Plant based milk

Dill pickle juice (optional)

Salt to taste

Sugar to taste (optional)

Refer to video for directions. I did not add sugar. I don’t like my salad sweet but feel free to add a pinch of you’d like.
